The town of Telluride sits at the end of a box canyon and is the more populated area, full of bars, restaurants, and shops. It conjures the genuine historic feel of an old mining town. Mountain Village sits atop Telluride and is accessible by car or a complimentary gondola ride from Town.
EAT + DRINK

A great place for a to-go coffee - located at the base of the gondola.
Hayes spent most of her Saturday mornings in 2001 waiting in line for donuts plus ham and cheese croissants with Casey. Great spot for a quick bagel, pastry or sandwich before or after a hike.
Great for dining in or taking out, B&B is a charming farm-to-table option that’s great for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or a quick drink. Heads up, there’s usually a line!
A great place to grab to-go wraps, salads, sandwiches, and juices!
A true Southwestern Mexican restaurant with homemade tortillas, fresh salsas, and delicious (and strong!) margaritas. Hayes and Danny eat here (multiple times) every time they visit. Hayes recommends the chicken tostada plate :)
The National is a yummy contemporary restaurant in town with a varied menu, specializing in local and seasonal ingredients. Reservation recommended.
French for The Little House (which, as many of you know, holds very special meaning to the McManemin family), this quaint small elevated bistro is located near the gondola and offers fabulous French fare.
Reservation recommended - try to sit on the patio!

Telluride’s hottest new restaurant offering elevated American cuisine, an exquisite raw bar, and an extensive cocktail and wine list. Hayes and Danny recommend The First Ascent cocktail (whether it’s on the menu that night or not). Ask for Pink Moon Oysters if they have them! Reservation recommended.
Authentic Italian restaurant with fabulous outdoor seating in town. They can usually accommodate larger parties, plus they have a great wine list! Reservation recommended.
The best Thai food (ever!) A super cozy corner restaurant in the west end of Telluride. The pickup and walk-in wait times can be long, so plan ahead.
The Buck The Last Dollar Saloon
Notorious dive bar right in town with a great rooftop. Open late too :)
Telluride’s newest cocktail destination. This speakeasy is located in the back of the McManemins’ friend Macy’s leather shop - Crossbow Telluride. Make sure to make it for Spritz Happy Hour or enjoy a late night martini in the original 1886 building on Pine.
Telluride’s oldest and most iconic bar! Located at the New Sheridan Hotel. End your evening with a Flatliner - Telluride’s version of an Espresso Martini. You’ll find Danny at the pool tables in the back!
ACTIVITIES

IN TOWN
OUT OF TOWN
Friday starting at 10:30am - all goods are produced within 100 miles of Telluride!
The River Trail follows the San Miguel River through the length of the town of Telluride and beyond. This is the perfect strolling and jogging path with unbeatable views of the box canyon.
Shopping!
Hayes’ favorites: Two Skirts, Mixx Projects, Crossbow, Hook, and Flowers by Ella
Danny’s favorites: Jagged Edge, Scarpe (men's section!), and Telluride Toggery
The Bear Creek Trail is a must-do for those who visit Telluride in summer and is less demanding than many other hikes in the area. The view of Bear Creek Falls is well worth the trek up 1,050 feet in elevation. The beautiful and well-marked wooded trail ends in a magnificent set of waterfalls and an unbeatable view of the town of Telluride.
A Danny and Hayes favorite, Jud Wiebe is a short hike that can be accessed right from town. You will travel through groves of aspen trees, wide open meadows, and see panoramic views of Telluride all the way from Bridal Veil Falls to the Valley Floor.
Telluride’s Via Ferrata has evolved from an underground climbing route to a hugely popular and well-known activity. The newly-legal climbing route is technical, breathtaking and exposed on the East end and South-facing wall of Telluride's boxed canyon. We highly recommend hiring a local guide to take you for a more enjoyable, safe, and less stressful experience.
The Telluride Bike Park is a completely unique lift-served experience with a variety of interconnected trails (Freeride, Technical & Cross-Country), clinics and guides.
A family-friendly mountain adventure for everyone. Telluride is surrounded by ideal SUP destinations including Alta Lakes, Wild Boy Lake, Priest Lake, Trout Lake, Elk Pond, Down Valley Park and the San Miguel River. Rent a board and head out on your own or book a guided tour with Telluride Outside.
Not for the faint of heart, Sneffels highline is a full day trek that can be done as an out-and-back from the Jub Wiebe trailhead in town or as a longer loop if it's connected with Deep Creek. We recommend shuttling a car and leaving one at the water plant. Pack lots of snacks and water!!
The Cross Mountain trailhead is located about 30 minutes from Downtown Telluride - but is absolutely worth the drive! The hike offers 360 degree views of the surrounding Lizard Head Wilderness and San Juan Mountains.
A staple for Danny and Hayes during summer 2o20, the hike to Hope Lake is not to miss while in the area. Enjoy views of Colorado’s wildflowers before taking a dip in the alpine lake!
For those who enjoy birdwatching, the McManemin’s neighbor Katie is the best (and only) birder in town!!
