TRAVEL TO TELLURIDE
FLYING IN
Montrose (MTJ) is the airport most travelers will choose to fly into. MTJ is the closest regional airport. The drive from MTJ to Telluride is about
ninety minutes.
Telluride Airport (TEX) is located just outside the Town of Telluride. Limited flights are offered by Denver Air Connection daily.
Additional airport options include:
Grand Junction (GJT) is two and a half hours from Telluride.
Durango La Plata County (DRO) is two hours and ten minutes from Telluride.
GETTING AROUND
Shuttle to Telluride
There are two transportation companies that provide shuttle van service or private service.
Telluride Express: 970-728-6000 or Mountain Limo: 970-728-9606.
Both companies require reservations.
Rental Cars
Telluride and Mountain Village are easily walkable and connected by a free gondola, so a rental car isn’t necessary. However, rental cars are available at the airport to accommodate travel.
Tip: If you do rent, confirm your pickup time rental offices close early.
The Gondola
The Telluride / Mountain Village Gondola runs daily from 6:30 a.m. to 12 midnight (2 a.m. on Friday & Saturday) and there is no charge.
